I think you are right. Everyone is going to go under the microscope now. We're just caught in this particular stage.
Alaska has been making a stink about this so I'm sure BC is putting on a show of being diligent. It's unfortunate for us because the problems at Mt. Polley don't exist at SC but we still have to go through the motions.
Anyway, it all comes down to money. If the optimizations show a project worth putting into production then it will happen. Don't forget that in South America they are moving whole villages to mine, and in that one case they planned on moving a glacier. We can surely manage some reports.
