It was a terrible year for Copper Fox, at least in terms of stock performance. There's no denying that.

And while we're all hoping for an improvement in the macro picture in 2015, news emerging in these final days of 2014 remains rather grim: more data out of China showing a slowing economy; Russia, which was one of the BRIC countries that was seen as a bright light only a few years ago, is contracting and heading for recession; and there are more debt contagion worries in Europe.

Thank goodness the U.S. continues to show signs of growth, at least.

So good riddance 2014. This next year has got to be better. It can't get much worse, right?
