There is a correlation. When resources are on fire, some investors pile in like lemmings. They start shovelling money into stocks with copper or gold or silver in their name. Some even do their DD first.
It affects our share price.
Does that matter? There are those here who argue not at all.
But I sure feel better when our stock is worth more. It's psychological, perhaps. It would make the buyout more palatable for Teck shareholders (or the shareholders of whatever company purchases 25% of Schaft Creek) if they aren't paying many multiples of today's share price.
Not to mention the freedom of being able to sell some shares without being stung. I haven't parted with much of my holdings here. I absolutely refuse to do it at 23 cents.
If we were over $1, I'd probably have freed up a portion to pursue some other near-term prospects.
