Sharp,
We should probably wait until 2015 before we sell the Schaft Creek mine. The time does not seem right yet as there is much left to do. The value of this mine is great and unique! The potential is huge. I have discussed the issue of value and market trading of a company's stock with many industry professionals and executives and concluded that "monetizing" any asset of extraordinary value is not the right move at the moment. There is an excessive gap currently within the industry due to negative investor sentiment that no company wants to sell in these troubing market conditions. This makes sense from a business perspective as you want maximum profit but this will not be achieved now. What needs to be done in 2014 is:
-Submit the EAA (big step forward)
-Report the findings of the "Optimization Studies" which will show the economic potential of Schaft Creek. These reports are very significant to me because they will show us the improvements of the Schaft Creek economics. People still do not realize the huge difference in revenue the "waste rock" could do if converted. Not only that, but your operating costs go down greatly. The cost to produce a pound of Copper is greatly reduced which means increased profits! Added ore tonnage to the "reserves category" (which is very probable) will increase mine life and production rates which will also increase NPV and profits from the mine!
Also, no one is giving value to the other zones of mineralization? The inferred consisting of over 600 million tonnes of ore? Exploration potential? debt financing from teck? Major partnership that is capable to bring the mine into production?
-Pressure Teck into a production decision which will trigger an additional 20 million into Copper fox's bank
3 big developments all in 2014, then consider a value after all this in 2015? I also want a revised BFS after the Optimization studies are known as it will show huge potential in economic value which is what I think they might do before selling their interest based off those studies.
Bigbuck I sent you my questions to discuss with management at the AGM, I hope you can report back your findings! Thank you.
PS. I discussed Schaft Creek with Elmer a few days ago and I am optimistic about the future and this company's potential even though we are progressing at a very slow pace :(
All I will say is he truly cares about ALL shareholders, especially the retail crowd! He wanted this to be known, so I hope he can deliver what we all desire!
