I think six months is not quite right.

The provincial government has 180 days to review the application.

Then, the Minister(s) of the Environment at the provincial level has 45 days to review the application and consider what recommendation they would make.

Meanwhile, the federal government has the project under review and I think they have 365 days in total for their review. So if the province took the maximum amount of time, 225 days, the Federal government would have a further 140 days in which to make their decision known.

This is the maximum time allowable, not necessarily how long they would take. FWIW, I don't think we'll be around for the duration.
