I posted about the reelection of Chile's President recently. There are no major concerns of Nationalization with her. However, the miners are very concerned about the proposed increase in corporate taxes and mining taxes. Earlier this year, when it became clear the Bachelet would be reelected, and her agenda was being formulated, Teck began to announce their reservations for QB2 expansion and since then has put the project effectively on HOLD. This does bode well for SC.
