thanks for this d-man
The interest Teck has in the North West and their political clout in BC is one of the reasons I'm hanging tight with my small holding.
like other posters, i'm disallusioned the way this stock has played out, but, then like the markets themselves, i've re-evaulated my investment to more of a long term.
Teck has invested lots of money and time in the NW. Dont think for a minute they can't influence the different levels of govt with the EA, and there wont be an issue with the first nations.
those same govts are investing big dollars in promoting the area with a new hydro line and highway upgrades and wouldnt without some sign of business interest; and they certainly arent doing it solely for the red chris mine - maybe i more naive than i thought, but how can we not suspect bureacrats and govt leaders have spoken to Teck and other large and prominent companies about opportunties in an area needing a boost.
CG - keep posting > i'm not offended by your position. i even recall a while back when chappy and prospect endured some shots by some members on this board.
cheers.
