...I wonder why you think we have to split from Copper Fox in order to raise money for AZ drilling or in order to sell our Schaft Creek JV rights.
I don't think we have to but I think that is the most sensible way to proceed. They do the exploration work with investment money from outside for which they offer shares. Nobody wants to diulte our Copper Fox shares any further in order to drill AZ, or wherever else they acquire. It makes much more sense to park SC with a bare minumum of staff and money required while Teck does all the work.
Then, establish Desert Fox with maybe 40 million shares (or whatever) outstanding, which we all own, and begin again trying to build the company up. It seemed sort of odd to issue a dividend with so much of the money from Teck, but now it makes more sense. They leave sufficient money within Copper Fox in order to pay the remaining staff for two years. Then maybe they move the rest to Desert Fox and start again.
I don't really know, of course, what they are going to do but they have a problem in that there are too many outstanding shares in Copper Fox. Plus, we've all paid our price for the deal with SC and we shouldn't be roped into Desert Fox if we don't want to. How else are they going to plough ahead with AZ if they don't split Desert Fox off and allow it to offer PP's on their own?
I guess they have about $12M in the kitty still that they could use to explore AZ and make another acquisition. I just don't know how long that will reasonably last especially since we don't know how much they would be spending on an acquisition.
Until that website gets updated, I don't think they are finished with their announcements.
