Who knows what is going on in the background or negotiations with Teck?
I take the bigger picture into account when I read the story.
What I mean is, it's a good thing to see majors starting to spend money again on projects. And it's good to know that Teck has money to spend.
I think the macroeconomic picture is important, but I think we'll see investment in commodities before everything turns around. It's a lot cheaper now to develop and purchase projects in anticipation of the need, then to sit on the sidelines and jump back in during a frenzy to pull metal out of the ground.
