Even though we might not get a dividend upon sale - if our cash balance was say 1B - It'd be hard for the market to say "Nah, they have cash of 1B, lets keep their market cap at 200M" and you'd be able to sell at a profit if you needed to get out and they weren't going to release the money as a dividend to shareholders.
