Do YOU not understand that the way this has unfolded is not the only way it could have unfolded? That management is not perfect, and even if they're doing a good job they could always be doing a better one and different people would take different approaches?

A junior already has risk associated with it. The market cycle makes this even riskier. Having a total unknown future an no prediction of what will happen adds even more risk. They're not exactly doing much to minimize any part of that risk.
