..."I don't see Teck wanting to make a fuss in court asking that they not have to respect their end of the well-known and well-publicized terms of the agreement."..
I think we are talking about two different agreements. The 4 yr build clause is in some mysterious Hecla agreement from the 60's or 70's - not the Salazar Agreement. So the 4 yr clause is not well-known nor publicized and we have not seen it ever. We just know that Elmer said that he doesn't hold a lot of faith that the 4 yr agreement would hold up in court. That is about all we know about that particular agreement. I believe it was an agreement between Hecla and Teck (not Teck and CUU). I think Teck would make a fuss if that 40 yr old agreement put them into a timeline they don't want for building the mine. Elmer didn't put any faith at all that they could hold Teck to that time limit.
So what do we have to have ANY faith in the 4 yr build clause?
