I think most of us are in a "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst" kind of mentality. I think some of us, at least a part of us, almost expect nothing to happen next week. All we can do is wait. Eventually it'll happen, but it's a damn shame we don't have as much control, knowledge or understanding of our own investments and futures. This isn't the ideal situation to be in.
