The cores are kept around forever. There is always a chance to learn something from them from time to time and also to back up subsequent decisions made on them.

I don't know what to make of this report of cores removed. At the least, I don't understand it. There might be a bit of core outside of Schaft's core shack in some other location (where? Smithers? Vancouver?) and maybe those are the ones removed. I kinda doubt they heli'd into Schaft in the snow and plucked a few hundred kilos of a few tonnes of cores stacked up from 30 years or more of drilling. It is feasible to do so if one was motivated. Kinda funny to be going back to cores at this point in the game when the drills stopped turning all so long ago.

"Inventory" could also mean a computer database of core data removed from Teck's server and sent to ___.

If anyone is looking at core, there is a possibility that it would be Teck doing a double check on some point in their DD. More likely it might be a Teck partner wanting to lay their own microscope on them while getting themselves up to speed and conducting their own independent DD.

Thanks for the report CG. For now I have to put this report in the WTF category while keeping a cautious eye for other developments. Teck (or Teck plus 1) has had our FS for about 7 weeks now so they should have be getting to the good chapters soon and compiling a good list of stuff to confirm one way or another and cores don't lie.
