Swiss miner Xstrata (LON:XTA) is delaying the commercial production of its $5.9 billion Tampakan copper-gold project in the Philippines until 2019

Seems to me it would be an excellent time for Xstrata to team up with Teck (and 1 or 2 others) and get the SC mine of the ground.

A billion or so for a share of SC would do just fine LOL
