Heard a talk today in Vancouver on the NTL by a BC Hydro speaker and Bob Quinn substation is ahead of schedule, and things are progressing nicely (i.e. on time so far), although there is still lots of work to do so they can be done for April/May 2014 (16-17 months). There is enough juice to run a good number of mines, and also room to upgrade, although the latter would cost money. So infrastructure will be there on time or ahead of schedule, whenever Teck and friends are ready to go.
There was an Elmer sighting in Vancouver too this evening, so he must be working away with the Vancouver office, and seems to be a lot lately - hopefully he is walking up Burrard St. half a block from the CUU to the Teck offices. Seriously the two offices are within spitting distance and everyone seems to know everyone in Vancouver so there must be some chatter back and forth ... Schaft is not a secret, just seeing how it ends up is.
I'm of the opinion (just guessing here) that there must be a little feasbility back and forth with Teck and CUU, maybe a bit more. But am preparing to wait right through December into the New Year based on past performance ... I don't like the waiting or lack of communication, but hear nothing but positive about Schaft Creek from folks in the Vancouver mining community I'm meeting of late. No one I talk to will say what they think it's worth (or knows), but all like the project and some have worked on it along the way. Pretty vague, I know ... but usually there's a little truth in rumour and I'm glad I'm not hearing rumblings of any bad news, and nor are others I'm talking to.
Back to the waiting and agonizing and checking for the NR first thing tomorrow morning. If this ends well, like I hope it will, some sick part of me is going to miss the incessant checking of the board and the SP.
Cheers.
