I've seen a few people ask this. And the answer has been given - NDA for negotiating with Teck. If our management was smart, they would have put a timeline that if a deal isn't negotiated by X, the NDA is over and they'd be able to release the BFS. 60 days for X isn't abnormal. If that's the case, a reasonable guess might be they entered it when they had the BFS ready in September/Late Summer. 60 days would lead to around the end of the month, so there is educated evidence (that's still speculation) that it could come out relatively soon. Even wif they had entered an NDA at the end of their review, the end of the year is still reasonable to still be in an NDA.
My point is, that if you think that CUU may be negotiating with Teck, and you think it's reasonable they would utilize an NDA, that's timed or otherwise, they wouldn't give us any information unless they had come to some sort of agreement or conclusion. Thus, the wait and lack of information makes sense and is warranted.
It's difficult to come up with a scenario that doesn't show some incompoetence in management or at the least our contractors for the wait without any news (and I believe the longest wait for any "real" news.)
