Interesting timing with that NR. Teck is putting out a NR for CIC if you read it that way. It only mentions the 17% CIC ownership of Teck and that "...CIC prefers to find its own investment opportunities and invest early and quickly."

But Teck put the NR out so they must have a lot of ideas in mind for things they might do together. Schaft Creek sure seems to fit the bill and the timing is about perfect. CIC is big enough that they could bankroll anything Teck wanted to do in Canada by itself! They had $50B to spend not that long ago - for this year!

We'll be hearing more about CIC.
