Here is an interesting quote I just read from a monthly newsletter by Greg McCoach I am assuming that Canada although at a smaller scale, is in the same boat. I never realized that their are very few large scale copper (currently producing) mines in North America. The assets at Schaft Creek should play a major minig role in the future.

"From a strategic thinking point of view, the U.S. is now an importer of copper instead of an exporter of copper. Forty percent of our copper now comes from overseas."
