Although I doubt that any Arizona grown pecans see that amount of watering, it is true that there are massive pecan groves south of Tucson and those growers compete with ASARCO and now Rosemont for the available water

And the economics or price per gallon issue missed the point

The future production will not be so much a function of price but simple availabilty

Residents will choose whether they are willing to let water be used for industrial purposes or demand preservation of domestic availability

This is not a debate I am interested in with money on the line
