CG is right. You used to look for minerals and then tag the area and stake your claim.

I found out myself that you just do it online. I thought it was a good way to see the province. Stake the claim then go and explore it. That was when I was single and more than just a shell of a man. I have since married and have been informed that going on the government mineral website is not how families plan their summer vacation.

Point being.... that companies, like Teck, stake the land then go explore it or just sit on it.
