At the time Teck staked the claims around SC the fee was forty cents per hectare (now a $1.75). I beleive on the anniversary they have to have spent $5.00 per hectare on exploration or make that in payment instead of work. If not the claims comes open again.

I wondered at the time if they staked those properties to contain CUU from becoming to expensive to buyout.. But they have also staked other large areas in the northwest.

I also wonder if CUU cancelled drilling this year because they need time to review the magnetic surveys.
