not only is the ntl line being built, but so is a large run-of-river project; red chris mine; and other exploration projects

the road into galore you speak of would also be used by CUU, yet the road cannot access either as a larger bridge needs to be built. the tire traffic you report could be towards a staging area for aerial (helicopter) transport of drilling / exploration equipment; bridge survelliance (i recall CUU mentions road construction in a presentation).

CUU does have an airstrip, but i'm not sure if drilling equipment would be flown in by plane or helicoptered.

The northwest is experiencing strong growth in a struggling world economy, due to resources and is being directly supported and encouraged by all levels of government - this bodes well for well planned, well managed, well supported (including first nations), environmentally sound projects.
