To the best of my understanding of the contract there is no mention of the environmental approval, even though it is well advanced and proceeding without any obvious major hurdles.
I've considered all of your arguments and the only conclusion I can come to is, the deal is done, otherwise we'd still be drilling like mad trying to prove up as much value as possible.
We've had a shelf prospectus filed for a long time that could have been used to raise money via a public offering for 10 -20 mil. or more. It may even have been beneficial, by allowing any funds that are interested, to initiate or expand a position.
These are the dog days of summer, it's been our experience that it's hard to get things done at this time of year, but after Labour day it's back to business as usual. legal firms have all their people's noses back to the grindstone etc.
I don't expect any important news next week, but between Sept. 4th and 21st I think they could knock our socks off. lets hope.....chunky
