If Teck was not interested, CUU could have drilled those zones (gathered the ultimate proof) and sold to someone else who's willing to pay up, wait, and have a guaranteed 25% position in this district while Teck is financing Schaft Creek.
Alot of big players out there (Xstrata, Freeport, Glencore, Anta, etc) who would want to secure 25% of this Canadian District. This District speak svolume and many years of very profitable mining, 100+
I'm going to push my above post even more. How many of those big players would actualy be interested in the Teck CUU agreement...
Yeah you have Codelco,Agnglo, Mitsu all fighting for piece of their Chile properties...even paying 1.1Billion for 5%...
''The Codelco-Mitsui partnership will buy an additional 5 per cent shareholding for another $1.1-billion, with shares made up 0.9 per cent from Anglo and 4.1 per cent from Mitsubishi. The 4.1 per cent will be bought by Anglo from Mitsubishi for $890-million, and subsequently sold on''
Not only does CUU have 25% of this Canadian District. that 25% includes voting shares, 400% expenditures, financing of Schaft Creek to production AND an impossible 4 year clause or Teck loses all......
CUU's in a great position, and always has been.
