I'm up 4% this morning. Now if cuu would just spit out the news. They do have some for us. A few people that I know are speculating that they intend not to give us anything until after the AGM. The arguement is that the type of news can be withheld until the entire study is done. Last week I heard we would see some of it this week? Has anyone heard anything?
Usually we get it right. The market conditions are heading positive for macro reasons with no blindsides. It seems to me cuu would take advantage. We expected news today. (Holidays are over).
What another thinks: (slightly redacted by me)
CUU has identified numerous targets with the majority conforming to proven signatures in the area. They intend on completing the surveys and producing sale-able mapped areas with a tergeted release date of the first week of September. It appears that they want to release this alongside the feasability study but probably shortly after. Teck is expected to continue working on the long term deal with cuu and we do expect that the North area will go with the deal. This should effectively block other players from making bids. All of this should occur while Teck buys iron. This should take the market by surprise. There's a lot of people who don't think Teck can do both. Nova is working on selling Teck's share of Galore and would consider a partial share of their own stake. Should this go through they would have a trifecta of powerhouses. As Teck swells the debt balloon they will become less attractive for the takeover but shareholders should approve. It's not clear that a change of ownership would benefit the shareholders in leau of six dollars. It's generally expected that a much higher premium would be required to garner the votes.
