I was trying to figure out how the next few months would unfold. I had thought the annual meeting had to be held by June 30 at the latest, but in a call to the office this week, I learned that the Company is under BC law, which allows for a latest annual meeting date of 15 months after the previous one. That would put the latest date this year at or around August 17 according to my math. It seems that the Company has been in no hurry to call the meeting, which last year was on May 17 and I'm wondering if the thinking behind the delay is because we might have much more serious business to vote on and approve of besides the normal stuff. I sure hope so.
Mike indicated 1) the RRE is on track for May and 2) they would be getting around to deciding the annual meeting date within the next couple of weeks. He also indicated the new claims announcement will be part of another news release which is coming "shortly" - 2012 drill plan? (my guess).
So I'm thinking RRE within the next 2 weeks, time to assess the market/Teck reaction, then announcement of annual meeting as late in August as possible with BFS released hopefully in July, or no BFS and a Teck offer to vote on at the annual meeting. I think they are leaving the annual meeting window open as long as possible to see what develops.
Also of interest is my impression that Ernesto and David are not blacked out at the moment, but others, of course are (including the office staff so there must be interesting conversations going on), so watch out MM's.
Disclaimer: These are my interpretations of what Mike said, and I always see the rosy side of the picture because I'm not going anywhere with my little investment and might as well be optimistic in my wild speculations. And, oh - not a basher.
