Teck announced a big donation to the Vancouver Aquarium today. They might just be feeling rich and generous but I suspect that they are also working to polish their corporate image in BC and its social licence to extract resources from publicly owned lands.

The Vancouver Aquarium has received $12.5 million — its largest ever donation — from mining company Teck to fund construction of a new entrance gallery, as well as conservation and education programs, the aquarium announced Friday.
