Wow lots of posts and threads on the Options NR. Nice convo, but let's not let ourselves get personal over disagreements. Till we know, we don't KNOW!
Keeping this simple for me means looking at some of the obvious things here.
As Vette points out, they have top notch legal depth on their team.
As Prospekt points out, they haven't been afraid to use that and other legal help when they need it.
They issued more options last year, two months earlier. That tells me that they've had ample time to think about this (see above) and are doing something that they've done before. This looks normal and conservative (to me).
Elmer is not going to risk the farm by breaking laws at this point for a few shares. I suspect TCK has, or could have, an idea of these options as well and they would not be happy with some big legal cloud threateng rain over an orderly progression to its decision.
To start breaking rules now would be silly and wayyy out of character for CUU management. IF they were breaking rules, it would have to be about something huge to the upside. That gives me two points of logic to not be so leary of these options. It's okay if I gain if others bend the rules right? LOL. Just kidding.
Some of the 'silverbacks' on this bullboard like GeneralLedger is not smelling fish and I take a lot of comfort in that as this kinda stuff is out of my realm.
