Capex Subtotal + Contingency = Capex Total

Capex Subtotal

Inflation would have been captured in this portion of the capex in the PFS. Our 2008 PFS would have assumed an inflation rate and assumed a construction start date and priced these into this subtotal. The problem now is that neither assumption is very accurate.

Contingency

The contingency is used to reflect the uncertainty of the estimate. For example, if the mine road costs had an accuracy of +/- 30% then the contingency will be higher than if the mine road costs are +/- 10%. The feasibility will have a lower contingency (%) than the PFS because more detail went into the estimates.
