Major projects in the north are leading the charge for British Columbia
Growth in Northern British Columbia is gaining momentum driven by the construction of major resource extraction projects and the supporting basic infrastructure, while the region begins to make a larger contribution to the provincial economy.
Some of the proposed mines that have estimated completion dates within the next five-years include Schaft Creek and Red Chris in Iskut, and Kitsault near Alice Arm.
