I just started investing in November and so far my biggest "mistake" has been the fact that I haven't really got around to diversifying my portfolio. While my portfolio isn't 100% CUU it is 100% in the materials industry. I have to admit I am somewhat embarrassed to admit it. It wasn't really on purpose, I was trading some financials last year as well, I am just attracted to what appears to be undervalued at the moment and in stocks I have actually done some through DD on.
A somewhat redeeming factor is the fact that I have only invested money that I am prepared to lose, if all my investment were to be worth $0, life would continue. I'm not sitting on a massive number of shares either so this isn't really a high stakes game of roulette.
I have gone back and read posts from SH from 2010 to current and have seen others perhaps in my situation as well or even 100% in CUU. Is that what you guys mean when you say you are "all in"?
Is anyone else now feeling the urge to throw diversification out the window a bit, sell off some of your underperformers and buy more CUU? I am excited just as much as everyone else... but in order to sleep at night...
