Out of interest, I asked the COO of another exploration company at the Vancouver show about timelines for their core sample lab results and he said it really varies for them. This group has numerous properties in Canada and one of their projects (with high grades) gets results back in about 6 weeks from the time the samples are pulled from the ground. They make arrangements on this (he didn't specify) to make sure that these samples are top-priority for the lab. Their other core samples take a bit longer and one of their properties in Eastern Canada (which will remained unnamed) seems to take ridiculously long in getting the samples back - probably a different lab than the others based on geography, and he didn't give all the details but he seemed bewildered by the slow results and couldn't explain it.
All this to say, the results delays with CUU frustrate me as a retail investor too. I keep averaging down but I'm still a bit in the red on CUU. However, it seems that BC labs have been extremely busy as there is so much exploration going on and I confirmed with Elmer that CUU cannot hold onto results - they must release them asap (as another poster or two mentioned also from their talks with management).
This is taking waayyy longer than I first anticipated ... I'm learning patience and having to practice it continually ... but still really believe in the fundamentals of the project so haven't pulled the plug because I'm medium term on this play.
