Yes there would definitely be resistance to a West Coast Pipeline, the Natives..However that exists already and it does take the U.S resistance out of the equation. Natives can be dealt with, right now they're resiting as a bargaining position for a better deal. There's way too many natives earning a good living in the oil industry and way too much money being throw at the tribes in order for the pipeline to fail.
