Not as long as they can get some. And there are a lot more average "Joes" than there are environmental wackos. The Canadian oil sands should keep the heat on by continuing to entertain approaches from other interested parties. For instance, the Japanese may well have enhanced desire at present to go along with their enhanced need.

The answer for the US is to develop their own fossil fuel resources which are ample but, thanks to Obama, currently unexploited and it will take 10 years before this can be addressed in any meaningful extent. Never allow your customer to think you need them more than they need you. A major tenent of effective marketing. Oh, I forgot. Marketing is by many on this Board considered to be an unneeded business discipline. Oh well. I will just have to muddddle through in spite of my ignorance. At least as long as the "build it and they will come" attitude here prevails in all of its splendor!
