Brian,,could be
I was born in 65, was only about 7 or 8 when i went to the 70's games..I do remember 1 game I was sitting two rows up from the Canadians bench, I could reach out and touch them..Henri Richard was playing, Robinson was in just a few years and was playing with Savard. Dryden was the goalie. Both Mahovoliches Guy Lafleur I can't even remember them all, it was the team that went 4 or 5 in a row..Funny thing, Lafleur was a chain smoker and they had ashtrays screwed into the boards behind the bench. lafleur would put his smoke in the ashtray, do his shift and take a puff when he got back to the bench..
Went to alot of games in the mid 80's when Roy was a rookie ,,used to love when Montreal played the Nordiques,,wasn't a game without a bench clearing brawl..I met almost the whole team in 86 at the Spaghetti Warehouse one night. My brother in-law is from the Czech Republic and his father was friends with Petr Svodas dad. I met Svabodas father and he let me try on Petrs Stanely Cup ring..So I can honestly say I wore a Stanley Cup ring.
Oh the years gone by.
Yep Montreal sucks now, but I live near Toronto now and the Leafs are even worse, which is why I no longer watch Hockey.
