Hi Scott and all,
The debate you have initiated is very good. One questions how much would MCR go for if indeed it is sold, can a buyer be found easly? Can it have a dent on our massive debt?
I still think that PDP has a future. How about merging PDP and CLL. Ger rid off all the convensional assents in Canada for cll, sell refinery and merg companies and instead of expanding the bitument use the money to develop the south american assents, that will quickly provide cash, in 5 year we can have a large company (new cll and pdp)
I still think that clll management did not do terribliy as some would want us to believe, but they were also unlucky, if the crash of 2008 did not occur now cll would be 8 pershare stock, but I think they did badly with pdp, they had a winner that became a loser with over confidence I think they sould farmout all Peru as this is years away from develoment even if huge oil is found and build cash by slowly developing columbia and if argentina gets better develope it. I am not sure if pdp and cll merge how many shares
the new company will have.
So what does this board and our dean (scott) think of this
How much will cll get by selling all conventiiona assents, and how much will MCR fetch
In the next 5 years focus on PDP assets after merger and develop that and get money
in bitument keep producing the 20k and increase resvers, as in the long runm oil sands will important, but in the long run we may be all dead if we do not survive and to survivev is to inject cash and reducing debt the the lowest possible level to max of 200 mm, including pdp's debt.
Then refocus on oil sands and double it.
Happy New year
