Connacher management has already stated that it's intention is not to acquire all the shares of Petrolifera. Issuing more Connacher shares would send Connacher's current share price even lower than it presently is and few if any of Connacher's shareholder's would be interested in this happening. Taking full control of Petrolifera would in my view not change Petrolifera's dismal track record over the last two years. Petrolifera needs a company with deep pockets (not Connacher), either to partner with Petrolifera on drilling in Colombia and Peru with the deep pocketed partner paying for all of the drilling; or the deep pocketed partner needs to buy Petrolifera lock, stock and barrel with the new management drilling up the proberty for the benefit of Petrolifera shareholders. To me it would be suicide for Connacher to get any closer to Petrolifera. Connacher originally cut Petrolifera loose because it couldn't afford the drilling in South America, so it created Petrolifera to raise it's own money which Petrolifera did. Petrolifera's problem appears to be management's choices and a lack of funds. This is just my opinion.
