Every now and then I have been looking at Google Earth over the past 6 years, in the location just south of Fort McMurray where Pod 1 should be on Hwy 63. Well it has finally paid off as a new sattelite map section has been added now which shows the Great Divide Project Pod 1. As usual the map is out of date as Algar is not included on the map yet so I guess we will have to wait for a few more years for Google Earth to catch up. The resolution is also not very good over the Great Divide but at least this is a start! You can't zoom in on Pod 1 like you can over the Syncrude Development north of Fort McMurray.
