The environmental whackos will never be satisfied until oil is destroyed which will not happen. The only thing which would satisfy their hopes is to see the world go back to a 17th century lifestyle.

They do not like any form of fossil fuel energy, nuclear energy, thermal energy, wood & coal, and solar can do only a distinct minority percentage of the job. Meanwhile, hybrid and all electric vehicles needed to start ten to fifteen years ago to have meaningful impact. The 5% of the people with a tendency to believe such fantasies will be drowned out in their vocifeousness by the 95%!
