Sharky:
With BP's record on accidents of all types and recurring ongoing problems, I would not mind seeing them completely restructured with significant, far reaching changes in management. In my opinion, in view of BP's long and troubled history, only a complete change in management from top to bottom will suffice to accomplish the task. One company cannot be allowed to by their ongoing practices, to put an entire industry critical to the future welfare of the world at risk. If that means a complete rededication and management change at BP, so be it.
If we depend on new automotive technology in design of and assimilation of alternative energy forms, we will be lost. For the next twenty to thirty years, we will be principally dependent on the internal combustion engine. There will be innovations and new technology developed yes, but not fast enough to be implemented fully in the next ten or even twenty years.
