Sharky:
In my opinion, stocks will likely go much higher than they are at present. However much of that gain will be due to enormous inflationary pressure. Though oil due to its diminishing supply will likely appreciate more than inflation by likely a large margin, it too will suffer some by the degradation of monetary assets causing a tremendous devaluation in virtually all currencies. We are seeing at present, just the beginning of the inflationary forces we will ultimately have to deal with. On the positive side , Canada due to fewer excesses than most countries, will have two built in advantages. The natural resources which the developing world will be hungry for and by comparison, a strong currency in a relative to other currencies sense. These advantages should stand Canada and Connacher in good stead if we can get by the next two years without a blow up. If we have a blow up, then only the strongest will survive. But, then six months ago, I was questioning if we would even get this far! Connacher is still walking a fine line.
