MRC outlook

Q1/2010 MRC refining margin may not look good.

The largest US independent refinery Valero Energy reported a first quarter loss of U$0.20 per share but should return to profitability in the second quarter. Credit Suisse has a cautiously optimistic outlook on the refining market and the prospects for Valero as the economic recovery appears to be solidifying.
