An observation and a question:
Observation - while in Shanghai for new year's, I found out that the City government of Shanghai is now limiting licenses for new cars to a mere 100,000 a year. Note that Shanghai constitutes only 1% of China's population - so you can see that China's appetite for new wheels continues unablated.
Question - I found Twilight in the Desert credible, but was wondering if anyone has heard about declines in the "elephant" oil deposits - Cantarell, Ghawar, Alaska North Slope, North Sea and Kuwait (Bagram?). I know that the declines in the North Sea, Cantarell and the ALaska North Slope are documentsed in general, but does anyone have output numbers for these, and what about Kuwait and Ghawar?
