It appears that I was wrong in my post on Friday when I stated nothing much had changed with the institutionals positions as Reuters showed yesterday that one institutional investor had sold its position that amounted to over 4 million common shares last Friday which took the number of shares owned by the institutionals down to 163,000,000 common shares.
If you look at Connacher today 12,229.630 common shares changed hands. It appears in the chart below that 2 new institutionals purchased over 29 million shares in the last couple of days so that now 45.04% of Connacher's shares are owned by Institutional shareholders. Connacher's most recent presentation states on page 10 that institutionals control about 50% of Connachers shares yet when the new presentation came out weeks ago Institutionals only controlled 39% of the shares so it appears that Connacher management knew of these recent purchases well in advance yet they are only showing up today. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
