I don't know about the others, but for me it's purely entertainment. If I'm following the market closely on a particular day, reading and posting passes the time. These boards are also informative as to which way the MM's want to influence the SP.. You can practically determine a reversal depending on whether the pumpers or bashers are dominating the boards...
