Hal:
I believe we are going to see South Africa enter a period of strong growth. South Africa, which I have been to several times for purposes of business, has a strong residual attribute left over from the British, of an educated population and virtually unparalleled natural resources of virtually every type, including off shore oil. Additionally, S. Africa is the principal developer of a technology known as the "Pebble Bed Reactor". A nuclear fission reactor incapable of going critical. China already has contracted for a "Pebble Bed". All of these are resources which will be in high demand by the developing nations such as China and India, the middle east, and other regions.
Additionally, there are other resource rich nations in Africa, which though not quite as educationally developed as S. Africa, are rapidly improving their capabilities.
