Hi Brian, what you say sounds fair.

I bought Connacher in mid 2006 for just under $4, and held it until September 2008 when I sold it at a loss for $2.80. I am one who believes in holding a company as long as the reasons for buying it remain intact and a risk of insolvency does present itself, but with the deteriorating oil prices and a delay from the Alberta government for pod two approval, I decided that my position was at increased risk. This was my reason for selling. I then proceeded short the stock at a price just lower than I had sold. I did not expect it to go anywhere near as low as it did in the following months, but I just kept following it with a stop the whole way down. A couple of months later a bounced triggered my order, covering my shares at about $1.20 and regaining all of what had been lost in the previous time (2 years of holding!!). I have not bought or sold the stock since as I am too uncomfortable to buy, but not confident enough to short with all of the specualtion running rampant in the marketplace.

The reason I brought this topic up is because I know that all of you saw the same `triggers` that I did (many were discussed on this board for months on end), but I am curious as to the decisions all of you made, and why. It says a lot about the investor on the other side of the screen, regardless of whether or not it was the right call in the end.

Digger and friends -- I`m calling on you.

I want to emphasize that I am not a trader, but I do believe that there are both right and wrong times to be in a company over the course of several years. I also admit that I am lucky to have gotten out when I did... the bottom fell out very very quickly shortly after I had made this decision. I will likely be back in the company once I see some clarity on future financing and stability in the price of oil... Even if it means paying slightly more.

I mean, if CLL is going to $5.00+ again like many of you hope for we will both do well, won`t we!
