On page 96 of the 2008 Annual Report under item #14: Related Party Transactions it is stated that:
"A portion of the company's crude oil and natural gas drilling activities, which activities are anticipated to continue in the future, was conducted in an industry standard joint venture arrangement with a company, an officer of which is also a director of Connacher. Transactions with the joint venture partner occurred within the normal course of business and have been measured at their exchange amount on normal business terms. The exchange amount is the amount of consideration established and agreed to by the company and the joint venture partner."
Personally I have no quams about management having joint venture partner's who are connected to Connacher's Board of Director's as I fully trust the judgement of Connacher's management team. This is also a standard paractice with oil and gas exploration companies in the industry. My question is why the name of the company is not mentioned here? As shareholders do we have a right to know the name of Connacher's joint venture partner? Is it Milestone Exploration Inc.? If so why the obliqueness? For example, we already know that Connacher has a joint venture at Halfway Creek with Alberta Oilsands (AOS). Why isn't Connacher's partner's name clearly stated in terms of full disclosure?
