Agree whole heartedly with your thinking regarding US$. This will cause a major realignment of world currencies and commodites. China and developing world is going to ultimately lead the world out of this economic conflagration. We will go to a major realignment of the world currencies and likely a multi national exchange rate system as the US ceases to be the world monetary exchange currency. In this scenario, as the US$ revalues lower not only will the developing and resource rich (Canada) benefit. China, India, the OPEC nations, Russia, Australia and parts of Africa will benefit. The US, Europe, will decline in relative wealth, influence and power. Resources will be more expensive in US$ but, not so much in Remimbis and other developing national currencies. As I see it, this change cannot be stopped.
